Tan Dun was inspired to compose two major works on this folk song from Hebai Province - China. Sung by Zhou Yi - pipa soloist with The Prairie Ensemble, Champaign, IL prior to the performance of "Concerto for String Orchestra & Pipa" by Tan Dun.
