ENG Several years ago I casually found the "Elegant Gypsy" CD by one of my heroes, the great Al Di Meola, in a music shop (now closed) in Imperia (Italy) during my holyday in that summertime. Within that CD there was this little gem, that has all the major aspects of Al's playing: the bossa feel, the melody, the syncopation, the accelerating triplets etc.. in less than 2'! Now my holyday's house is no more, I keep a bunch of old photos of Imperia and this music, so deeply connected (for me) with the summertime vacation and those places.

ITA Anni fa dopo aver infruttuosamente cercato a Padova il cd “Elegant Gypsy” di un mio eroe, Al Di Meola, lo trovai in maniera del tutto fortuita ad Imperia, dove da diverso tempo avevamo una casa per le vacanze, in un negozio di dischi (ora chiuso da anni). Il disco era effettivamente molto valido, e conteneva questo gioiellino che indegnamente provo a suonare: in neanche 2' si trova condensato un po' tutto lo stile di Di Meola, la bossa nova, la melodia, le accelerazioni, le sincopi...Ora dopo tanto tempo la casa in Liguria non c'è più, restano delle foto vecchie e questo cd che rimane indissolubilmente legato a quei luoghi ed all'estate
