I originally set out to just pitch down the vocals to what I thought was the closest to the original recording while keeping the beat relatively the same, but, the issue was they recorded the vocals in a different key to the beat so it sounded awful and clashy. So I ended up also pitching down the beat to fit the new vocals so forgive me if the beat sounds a little more distorted.


I was recently informed that part of the reason the song was pitched up is because Laura is dysphoric about her voice. If I had known this earlier I would have added this as a statement at the beginning of the video. The main reason I made this is because I genuinely was curious to how it sounded near the original pitch, not to make the song “better”. I’m sorry if I have offended anyone with my ignorance to the situation.
